A few months back, I had a breakthrough moment.
I drove in the dark to an early morning work-out that begins at 5:45am at the 24hr fitness club.
I know many people do that. I didn’t. To me it sounded impossible, and inconceivable.
I was shocked and amazed at myself at the same time for doing this.
You can watch this experience as I recorded me Live on
YouTube.
It’s been a couple of months ago, and I’ve been consistent ever since:
Once a week, I challenge myself; I set the alarm to 5am, for a 5:45am group work-out at the gym.
It’s still a challenge as I’m still not completely in my comfort zone.
In order to get results, be consistent and persistent in your actions.
It took me some 6 weeks to not feel tired after that and embrace my new Tuesday morning routine; Thinking and knowing: “Yes, I can do this!” It’s getting easier every time.
Why am I doing this?
1. To keep challenging myself, and my limiting beliefs.
By creating a new habit, I remind myself that if I’m stuck, in any area of my life, I can change that.
By now, it’s less of a challenge, because I have done this a few times already.
But it’s still a reminder for me to question my limiting beliefs.
In the past I used to think: “Oh, I can’t do this”, as I considered myself a night awl, now I know that if I change my pattern, and my strategy, I can shift.
I do need to adjust my sleeping routine, and set my clothes the night before, and go to sleep a little earlier, so I’m not sleep deprived.
2. I believe in holistic wellness, my mental, emotional and physical wellness re important to me, so keeping my fitness routine is good for my body.
3. Time management
It gives me more time during the day. I’m back after work out at 7 o’clock after shower and start off my day. I have more time. Otherwise the group work-out starts at 9/9:30 and I get back home around 11am, which is bit late. That makes a big difference in how I manage my time.

So, from this personal story, here are the take aways that you can benefit from:
Take Aways:
1. Whenever you feel stuck
in any area of your life. Be aware
of where you are.
2. Question your beliefs about yourself. What do you believe about yourself? What do you believe is possible for you? What do you believe you are capable of? What do you believe you are worthy of?
3. Take responsibility.
4. Make a decision to Change a pattern. Change a habit.
Challenge yourself outside of your comfort zone.
You can start off with an area in your life that may be easier for you to approach and change something there.
5. Change requires a new strategy.
If you keep doing the same thing, you will keep getting the same results. If you want different results, you need to change your strategy.
6. Take action
Nothing will change, until you take action. So, make the preparations you need, and just do it!
It will feel so GREAT after that! You will feel so EMPOWERED!
It will also serve as a PROOF that if you could change your habit, your pattern in one area of your life, it is POSSIBLE for you to change another unwanted habit in another area of your life.
7. Be consistent
Every change may feel scary in the beginning, weird, awkward or difficult, but as you build that muscle in repetition, you condition your mind and body until it becomes natural, easy and automated, that you longer think about it; Just like riding a bike, driving a car, or talking to a friend.
By now, you are rewiring a new EMPOWERING BELIEF within yourself: “I CAN do this!”
And by changing your mindset, this is already taking you so much closer to reaching your goals.
“It always seems impossible until it’s done”. Nelson Mandela
